SYNOPSIS

Born into a weakening kingdom in a world of magic, Nisha is a young princess still exploring the extents of her unique magical powers, and understanding the responsibilities to being the sole heir to the throne.

But as danger threatens her kingdom, she must find the power & faith within, to join forces with new friends & allies, and defend the only home she has ever known.

REVIEW

A coming of age fantasy novella with a fascinating magic system & intriguing world building. With mystique, adventure, family reunion, newly established friendship & self discoveryโ€”a refreshing mix of elements that will enlighten readers.

I loved the character of Nishaโ€”our relatable & sometimes even slightly hilarious heroineโ€”her refusal in settling for fate, rather, taking matters into her own hands & believing in her strength to change what seemingly could not be alteredโ€”I loved that stubborn courage.

As for the magic, I have never come across any similar magic systems as what was established in the storyโ€”it was so intriguing! I canโ€™t wait to understand more of the functioning & history of the world.

However, keep in mind this is a very short story, in which many details were considerably lacking & may possibly leave readers slightly confused, in need for more thorough explanation with the fast-paced plot. The backstories & personalities of some characters were almost non existent, though definitely creating a mysterious atmosphere, can also make readers unable to connect on deeper levels, thus making them fall flat.

Overall, there seemed a prospect for a deeper establishment of the story, as it was definitely something quite original & brimming with potential. Iโ€™m hoping there can be more in the sequels (I am desperately in need of more)
