SYNOPSIS

Stuck in a wilderness boot camp for delinquent teens, Spooky is determined to keep her head down & survive the summer. But trouble seems intent on catching her. Stranded in the middle of the woods after a night gone awry, she comes face to face with something ancient & powerful—someone hoping to catch a human alone.

As Spooky’s world spins out of control, she is forced to summon all her courage & become the unexpected heroine of the story—because, if ONE god wasn’t bad enough already, a whole pantheon of dark entities are lining up between her and the life she’s always wanted...

REVIEW

The author takes our imagination to a whole new level, with an original & mystical world-building, flourishing with both color & detail—where we are introduced to eccentric characters, bizarre creatures & magical bargains that will completely blow your mind.

As we embark on a thrilling adventure with the protagonists, we slowly come to understand their backstories—who they truly were before ending up at the camp, who they’re fighting for & why. I especially loved how Spooky—our main girl—was able to overcome her usual limits, learning & discovering in the process, her own  identity & potential. Her character growth was immensely beautiful & moving towards the end.

What I enjoyed most were the peculiar descriptions & vivid imagery, such that I often had to pause & re-construct the whole picture in my mind, as they were unlike anything I’ve ever read! If you’re looking for a read to keep you deeply intrigued & thoroughly surprised, THIS is the book.

OH and PLEASE let there be a sequel ♡
